HOMMAGE

This September, Galerie Knoell is paying homage to the recently deceased Danish artist, poet and natural scientist Per Kirkeby. Through his artistic as well as scientific work there is a characteristic complexity, whereby the boundaries of these two perspectives often remain inarticulate. For once, the disciplines of art and science do not compete, but rather enter in Kirkeby's work into an enriching dialogue.
In the context of this exhibition, important works from a private collection can be shown, focusing on Kirkeby's painterly oeuvre.
