Dadamaino

From September, Galerie Knoell will be showing a solo exhibition of works by the Italian avant-garde artist Dadamaino (1930-2004). She first gained attention in the late 1950s with her series of works called Volume, mostly black or white canvases with big, cut-out holes in the center. Shortly afterwards, she was involved in Piero Manzoni's Azimuth group in Milan, as well as in Lucio Fontana's Spazialismo movement and the German ZERO group.

The exhibition includes works from the Volume series of the 1950s and the Volume a moduli sfasati series from the 1960s, as well as some works from the end of her creative period, Il movimento delle cose and Sein und Zeit from the 1990s.
